Nico Robin is the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates. Otherwise known as “Devil Child”, Robin is a Devil Fruit user who possesses the power of the “Flower-Flower Fruit”, allowing her to sprout replicas of her limbs, and later her entire body, from any surface. As the only survivor of the island of Ohara, Robin is the only known living person in the world of One Piece with the ability to read the ancient stones called Poneglyphs, something considered threatening by the World Government, which forbids the practice. She lived alone for 20 years until she met Luffy and the Strawhats, who declared war against the World Government to protect Robin. Her last fatherly figure told her before dying that “no one was born into this world to be alone”, so she would know she would find friends someday.
