This is Iara, a river mermaid from Brazilian Folklore!
Today, August 22, is Brazilian Folklore day! This art is part of a collaboration with many Brazilian Artists, each drawing an unique legend!

Mine is Iara, an indian who almost drowned, but was saved by the fish.
Since it was a full moon night, she was turned into a mermaid!
She lures the men to the rivers, from where they never come back from!
